Hello! My name is China Hill-LoBue, and I am a counselor, licensed in the states of California (LPCC), Illinois (LCPC), and Missouri (LPC). I was born and raised in Chicago and enjoyed some time in San Diego, but Columbia, MO is my current home.

I’ve served in helping professions my entire career, having worked as teacher, guidance counselor, and undergraduate advisor. In addition to counseling, I am also certified as a Mindfulness and Meditation teacher.

I am excited about helping others have meaningful, fulfilling relationships while also being more present and grounded in their personal lives. Here’s why: For most of my life, I struggled with relational anxiety—feeling unsettled until “he” called, mentally replaying the mistakes I made with others, and trying to figure out the best way to respond to people, so as not to upset them. It was in this messiness where I learned practical ways to trust God. And I love walking with those who want to do the same.

Besides counseling, I practice relating to/loving others as a friend, granddaughter, niece, aunt, sister, and wife. Most days you can find me writing in my journal, watching social and cultural documentaries, walking my dog Pugsley, or having both meaningful and funny conversations with family and friends.
