Diego Huaman
Restorative Mentor
Hey! My name is Diego Huaman, and I’m a mentor at Restore Counseling. I'm originally from Columbia, MO, and my passions for people and music have taken me all over the world. I graduated from Berklee College of Music and worked for several years in Los Angeles making records and enjoying the west coast outdoors. While collaborating with many gifted artists, I learned that some of the best music was captured when artists felt totally comfortable to be vulnerable. Through the collaborative process of music, I discovered my love for psychology and knowing people.
I experienced firsthand just how powerful this practice was in helping me process my own pain and story. Like the woman at the well, I ran back to all my friends and couldn’t help but share what I had learned, loving every moment I’d get the chance to walk with another.
If I'm not out somewhere exploring the world or camping, you can find me reading books on spirituality, psychology, and adventure. I love playing the saxophone and guitar, finding the best coffee shop in any town I’m in, hiking off-leash trails with my dog Yoshi, and having deep meaningful conversations about God and life.
